Every year, countless of aspirants work hard for limited spots. To start your journey, you must successfully finish the application process. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you apply seamlessly.

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

To start your application process, visit the BPSC portal: www.bpsc.gov.bd. This is the only portal for BCS exam announcements and applications. Be careful from unofficial websites.

Step 2: Download the Circular

Search for the latest BCS exam circular under the “Notices”. The circular includes necessary information, such as qualifications needed, application deadlines, examination syllabus, and other notable instructions.

Step 3: Check Eligibility

Study the standards, which include age limits, educational qualifications, and citizenship requirements. The regular age limit is within the range of 21–30 years for general candidates, but relaxations apply for specific groups such as freedom fighter descendants or disabled individuals.

Step 4: Register Online

Navigate to the BCS Online Application Form (Form 1). Fill in all required fields, such as applicant information, academic qualifications, and job preferences. Recheck for any inaccuracies. Providing false information can lead to cancellation.

Step 5: Upload Documents

You must upload a fresh copyright-sized photograph (300px x 300px, file size below 100KB) and your signature (dimension of 300x80 pixels, file size below 60 KB). Confirm these follow the instructions mentioned in the circular.

Step 6: Pay the Application Fee

After uploading your application, you will obtain a User ID. Use this ID to settle the application fee through Teletalk SMS services. The fee is usually 700 taka for general candidates and 100 BDT for others. Follow the specified method provided in the circular.

Step 7: Confirm Submission

Once the fee is paid, you will get a confirmation SMS with a receipt number. Keep this ID for future reference. Access again the application portal to confirm the payment status.

Final Tips

Submit your application well before the deadline to bypass last-minute delays.

Print a copy of the application summary for future use, such as for printing the admit card.

By following these steps, you can register without hassle for the BCS exam and get one step nearer your aspiration in the Bangladesh Civil Service. Wishing you success!
